Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the three teams for accounting operations: merchants & distributors, general accounting, and payments & card operations
  • Organize and oversee daily operational processes across all three teams
  • Coordinate the monthly close process
  • Own the timely, accurate recording of business events in line with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage communication with business partners, auditors, the tax authority, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Set up the accounting side of new product launches, working closely with team leads and colleagues from other verticals
  • Optimize and automate accounting processes, and take an active part in developing the ERP system
  • Manage projects within the area of responsibility in line with the annual plan and goals

Qualifications you bring:

  • A university degree in economics or finance
  • At least 5 years of experience leading an accounting team, including organizing work and developing people
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system
  • A solid grasp of accounting and business processes, and a drive to keep improving and automating them
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS)
  • Advanced Excel and excellent spoken and written English; familiarity with BI and AI tools is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as experience in coordinating multiple teams and external stakeholders
  • An analytical, independent, and proactive approach
